President’s Report – Strategic Highlights for January – May 2025

1. Water Filters

  1. Overview – in partnership with Sola Gratia Foundation and Robert Aragon, we will install 6 water drums with filters to local churches affected by the Kanlaon eruption – Negros Occidental
  2. Total recipients – 3 churches will each receive 2 water drums with filters
  3. March 2025 – we provided 5 water drums with filters to 3 churches in Bacolod; they are all RTG Partners.

2. Balikbayan Boxes

  1. Overview – we sent goods, tons of books and used items for our RTG communities; as for Samaritana, cloth materials for their Tote bag project.
  2. Total Recipients as of April – 10 boxes (about 100 lbs each box).

3. Special Events at MEANS

  1. April 19 – Volunteers’ appreciation /Volunteer of the year – Fe Magalit
  2. May 17 – Job Retirement Celebration in honor of Ken Borromeo, MEANS volunteer for 35 years.
  3. May 17-  RTG Bacolod Gathering –  Purpose is for evaluation of RTG program and a refresher course for literacy teaching.
  4. May – RTG Day camp – Bacolod City.  All RTG children will participate in this two – day camp.
