RTG Comic Book Workshop – Then later in the afternoon, Ann Rutor, RTG Facilitator, helped us understood how to integrate the Anti-OSAEC comic book to RTG program together with its reminders. The participants listened intently, scribbling notes and engaged in lively discussions. As the workshop drew to a close, the sense of unity, purpose, and urgency filled the room. Each participant wrote their reflections and commitment on how they will respond in accordance as to how the gentle Spirit of God move them.
One participant, Pastor. Allan said “I will lend my ears to listen to those oppressed, especially the children…I will use my feet to walk with them whenever and whatever the Lord will lead me”.
Another participant, Evelyn, RTG Coordinator from Bago also said “I commit to reach out to those children who need not just ears to listen and hand to tap their shoulders, but also a heart to care for them, one step at a time”.
Others were also committed to be vigilant in their community, to pray for those abused, to be discerning, to walk alongside with their students, and to hold the hands of God’s children.
We knew that the journey towards combating OSAEC would be an ongoing one, but we also knew that we were not alone, the Lord who initiated the story of setting the captives free are on our side, working, listening, reaching, freeing. Together, as a community of believers, we will continue to raise awareness, be a storyteller, an advocate to create a safe online and offline environment. For our children’s lives are not for sale.
Right now, there are 62 participants aware of the cries of those abused, 10 RTG community partners to protect with, for one cause…’Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked’ (Ps. 82:3-4) Lord, let the sound of freedom reverberates!
Our commitment – Never Give up. based on: Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. We ended the workshop with a song of Commitment: Here I am, Lord – Song by John Michael Talbot
Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night
I will go, Lord, If You lead me
I will hold Your people in my heart
