Give Thanks. This coming December 6, 2025, MEANS will be 54 YEARS OLD, with Lina, serving for 41 years and Carmena, serving for 39 years, as volunteers. We thank the Lord for those who began this ministry in 1971 and for their faithful service to the Lord through the years. To God be the glory alone!
Under our leadership, we made small steps, not knowing we will be serving a bigger and wider community later. Practically learning and doing everything from scratch, bringing with us our gifts and the experiences we learned from our education, our jobs, as IVCF staff, as ESL teachers among refugees in Bataan Refugee Processing Center, volunteering full time, while also earning a living (full time) in the United States, me, at Northwestern University and Carmena in various companies in Chicago.
Give Thanks. Through the years God sent to MEANS people with gifts, skills talents and expertise. They were new immigrants to the US, but they have a heart of compassion and are willing to serve with joy. They contributed in building up MEANS. God always uses an individual not with loaded gifts, but one who is humble, willing to work behind the scenes, and one who is sacrificially obedient to His will.
Give Thanks. To our MEANS volunteers who have been serving for over 35 years, 20 years, 10 years or less; and those who just started this year to commit themselves to serve, we give thanks. May YOU find us faithful in what we do at MEANS. “Oh, may all who come behind us find us faithful, may the fire of our devotion light their way. may the footprints that we leave, lead them to believe, and the lives we live inspire them to obey.”
Give Thanks. To God Who orchestrated everything. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the One Who provides, sustains, encourages, comforts and strengthens us to serve Him faithfully. Thank you to all our ministry partners, donors, and friends who pray for us faithfully and who give generously.
May God continue to use MEANS as a blessing, to be a light, giving glory to His Name for many more years to come. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR US! Amen!
