God is in this story; God is in the details.
Even in the broken parts He holds my heart, He never fails
When I’m at my weakest, I will trust in Jesus
Always in the highs and lows, The One who goes before me
God is in this story
After a severe health crisis last June 2022, when Lea Cases Hontanosas got sick with sepsis which almost took her life, MEANS volunteer couple Bong and Lea Hontanosas celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on June 2023.
At the celebration, the stories that were shared focused on God about how He saved Lea from death, how He answered prayers for Lea, and how He provided for all their needs: friends helping them, providing food and meal trains because Lea was in ICU for one month, doctors who gave strength and hope performing both legs and hands surgery, physical therapists rendering free services, nurses dressing wounds, MEANS providing meals, their church members building a ramp for Lea’s wheelchair, a fellow nurse colleague raising funds through GoFundMe.com, people rallying in prayers, providing comfort and strength.
Those were manifestations of God’s love and care for Lea, Bong and family. Both of them have been volunteers of MEANS for 27 years. All Glory to God alone!
